Hi, I'm Niketan.
I'm a software engineer at Microsoft, building AI-powered developer
productivity tools that help developers ship their products and features
faster.

I'm very comfortable with Python, Django, Azure (Cosmos DB, OpenAI, Active Directory), OAuth 2.0, and building AI-powered automation using LLMs and RAG. I've also written production C# at Microsoft, but it's not my comfort zone (yet).
I spend most of my time writing C#, Python, and Kusto and tinkering with AI, building Developer Agents. One of the developer agent I worked on was recently featured in Microsoft Build 2025.
You'll often find me tinkering with event-driven architectures, Azure pipelines, or machine learning recommendation models.

Projects
Netflix Ratings Overlay
- Chrome extension that displays IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings directly on Netflix movie and TV show posters on hover.
- Built with Manifest V3 architecture, OMDb API integration, smart title matching with scoring, and local caching (7-day TTL).
- Supports both hero banners and poster cards; uses debounced hover detection, floating overlay positioning, and SPA navigation handling.
